Essential Services Update:

The Village Office remains closed as part of our obligations to protect the health and well-being of our employees, the community and members of the public. We apologize for the inconveniences this may cause as we adapt to an evolving situation.  Staff are available by phone and email as follows:

Essential Services:

Staff continue to perform their regular duties in relation to the operation of the water treatment plant, sewer collection system and other aspects of village operations.  The airport remains open to necessary flights such as medivacs.

Village Facilities:

Village owned sites such as the community hall, roller rink and public playgrounds are closed indefinitely in support of restrictions on public gatherings and social distancing recommendations. 

Regional Services:

Residential recycle collection bins in Port Clements, Tlell, Sandspit, Masset, Old Massett and Skidegate will be closed until further notice. Residents are encouraged to hold on to their recyclable materials until further notice, however, the Haida Gwaii landfill remains open by appointment only to serve the urgent needs of residents.

The Village of Masset thanks all residents for their cooperation in these difficult times.  We encourage your compliance with the directives being issued by the Chief Medical Officer in relation to the COVID 19 pandemic.
