Please be advised that the garbage rates, as set by the North Coast Regional District, are increasing by $4.00 per month, as of January 1, 2021.

UTILITY AND PROPERTY TAX BALANCES
Please be advised that any outstanding amounts on your utility account as of December 31, 2020 have been transferred to your property taxes as arrears and will be accumulating interest.

GARBAGE PICKUP
A reminder to all residents in order to avoid messes and encounters with wildlife please ensure your garbage is secured in an appropriate receptacle and left at the curb on pickup days.

BE NICE AND CLEAR YOUR ICE
With the arrival of winter weather, the Village of Masset would like to remind you to consider the safety of others in making an effort to keep snow and ice clear from the sidewalks adjacent to your property, both residential and commercial.

WATERLINES
Now would be a good time to make sure your waterlines are prepared for the cold. Each winter we see frozen pipes that cause damage and often require a call out fee for village staff to shut water off. Being prepared can save you money and prevent a big cleanup.

BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWAL
Business License Fees are now due for 2021. If you are paying online or at the Credit Union, please notify the office to ensure that your payment is applied to the correct account.
If you no longer require a business license, please call the office at 250-626-3995.

DOG TAGS ARE DUE TO BE RENEWED
When licensing your dog we require their name, colour, breed and your contact information in case he or she is picked up.

NOTE FOR SENIORS
If you are 65 yrs. or older please let us know, the Village of Masset offers a seniors rate for utilities. Proof of age is required for us to apply this lower rate.

NORTHERN HAIDA GWAII VISITOR CENTRE
The visitor centre is now closed.
Please call the Village of Masset Office at 250-626-3995 if you have questions. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Village of Masset office is now open to walk in traffic. Please help us by using the drop box located to the left of the door for payments if possible.
