UTILITY AND PROPERTY TAX BALANCES
Please be advised that any outstanding amounts on your utility account as of December 31, 2022 have been transferred to your property taxes as arrears and will be accruing interest.

BUSINESS LICENCE RENEWAL
Masset’s Bylaw #616 requires all businesses within the Municipality to hold a valid licence, and we are currently processing for 2023. If you are paying online or at the Credit Union, please notify the office to ensure that your payment is applied to the correct account.
If you no longer require a business licence, please call the office at 250-626-3995.

Please be advised that the garbage rates, as set by the North Coast Regional District, are increasing by $2.00 per month, as of January 1, 2023.

GARBAGE PICKUP
A reminder to all residents in order to avoid messes and encounters with wildlife please ensure your garbage is secured in an appropriate receptacle and left at the curb on pickup days.

WATERLINES
Now would be a good time to make sure your waterlines are prepared for the cold. Each winter we see frozen pipes that cause damage and often require a call out fee for village staff to shut water off. Being prepared can save you money and prevent a big cleanup.

NOTE FOR SENIORS
If you are 65 yrs. or older please let us know, the Village of Masset offers a seniors rate for utilities. Proof of age is required for us to apply this lower rate.

NORTHERN HAIDA GWAII VISITOR CENTRE
The visitor centre is now closed.

MASSET HARBOUR AUTHORITY MEETING POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
Masset Harbour Authority would like to see all Harbor users and the General Public for a meeting on February 2nd, 2023, at 7 pm Howard Phillips Community Hall, 1590 Cook Street, Masset. Topics of discussion will be the new Operational Directives, Wrecked Abandoned or Hazardous Vessels Act, Moorage Agreements and the next steps to improve the Harbour overall.
