HARBOUR DAY
Harbour Day is Saturday May 20th and as always, we need your creativity to make this fun filled day a huge success. Businesses and groups are encouraged to sponsor and organize events, run games, enter a float in the parade or set up a concession. Please feel free to become a committee member or volunteer. Scheduled meetings are in the Village Office Council Chambers 1686 Main Street and are open to the public. Call if you have any questions, to volunteer or to find out when the next meeting is.

UTILITY AND PROPERTY TAX BALANCES
Please be advised that any outstanding amounts on your utility account as of December 31, 2022 have been transferred to your property taxes as arrears and will be accruing interest.

BUSINESS LICENCE RENEWAL
Masset’s Bylaw #616 requires all businesses within the Municipality to hold a valid licence, and we are currently processing for 2023. If you are paying online or at the Credit Union, please notify the office to ensure that your payment is applied to the correct account.
If you no longer require a business licence, please call the office at 250-626-3995.

RECYCLING
The Masset Recycling Depot is located at 1730 Hodges Avenue.
Hours of operation are Thursday to Saturday 9:00 am to 3:30 pm., closed from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and Stat Holidays.

The Village of Masset has free rat traps available to all residents of Masset. Please drop by to pick up your traps.

Monday May 15 to Thursday May 18
Please come into the Village Office 1686 Main Street to schedule a time and pay for items to be picked up.
Cost: $12.00 per regular pick-up load
Note: All items must be sorted (burnable, metals, lawn debris, no kitchen refuse please) and placed at the curb or property line. Lumber and brush must be separated.

BUILDING BYLAW No. 630
Siting and Use Application and Permit
Spring is here so before you get busy and start a new project please take note that the Village of Masset has bylaws in place to ensure that zoning and land use regulations are being adhered to by way of a Siting and Use Permit. Please visit the village office to pick up a Siting and Use Application and review the Zoning Bylaw before you start construction. There is no cost for the application and permit.

If you are 65 yrs. or older please let us know, the Village of Masset offers a seniors rate for utilities. Proof of age is required for us to apply this lower rate.

The visitor centre is now closed for the season.
