Northern Health COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Locations Phase 2
NORTHERN HEALTH COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC LOCATIONS-PHASE 2
Last updated: March 8, 2021, 10:50 am
*This plan is subject to change. Due to the complexity of Northern geography, logistics, outbreaks, vaccine supply, and other factors, changes to timelines and the plan may be made as required.
The current immunization schedule developed for the North, in partnership with the First Nations Health Authority, the Métis Nation of BC, and Northern Health, is focused on phases one and two priority groups of BC's immunization plan (developed based on recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/prevention-risks/covid-19-vaccine-treatment/vaccine-rollout.html#a3), and on protecting those most vulnerable to severe illness, first. For more information on the vaccine and priority groups, visit the Government of BC website https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/plan and the First Nations Health Authority website https://www.fnha.ca/about/news-and-events/news/early-access-to-covid-19-vaccine-for-rural-and-remote-first-nations-communities.
Phase 2 vaccinations
Those in Phase 2 receiving their first vaccine dose in March and early April include:
Seniors aged 80+ (born in or before 1941) who are not yet immunized
Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) aged 65+, Elders (born in or before 1956), and additional communities not yet immunized

Vulnerable populations in select congregated settings

Phase 2 vaccine appointments for seniors and Elders
Beginning the week of March 8, 2021, certain age groups will be able to call and book their appointment through the Northern Health call centre, according to the staggered schedule below. On March 8, 2021, seniors aged 90 and older, and Indigenous peoples aged 65 and older, who are not living in independent or seniors’ supportive housing can begin to call; on March 10, 2021, this age group expands.
Some communities may have different directions and eligibility may vary. Please find your community below for specific details of COVID-19 immunization clinics, appointments, and eligibility.
Immunization clinic locations will be confirmed at the time of booking, with vaccinations starting as early as March 15, 2021.
*There may be variation in this information to the provincial schedule, as a result of Northern Health’s small population sizes in some communities. (Please note, this information is subject to change.)
How to book your vaccine appointment:
Following the community schedules below, seniors and Elders can call the Northern Health call centre to book their vaccine appointment.
Call centre: 1-844-255-7555 (Note: Number is not available until March 8)
Hours: 7am to 7pm PST, seven days a week
Clinic locations will be confirmed when you book for more information, what you should have ready, and step-by-step instructions on how to call to book an appointment for yourself, for a family member, for a friend or neighbour, please visit the BC Seniors First website https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/seniors.
When will I get the vaccine?
Everyone in BC will have an opportunity to get the vaccine if they choose, but the first priority groups to receive the vaccine include those individuals who may be most vulnerable to serious illness and the individuals who care for them. The BC COVID-19 immunization plan is available on the Government of BC website https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/plan.
Following all priority groups, it's the Province's goal to be able to immunize all BC residents who want it by the end of September 2021. Until then, we all need to continue to protect each other by following public health orders and guidance https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/safety/emergency-preparedness-response-recovery/covid-19-provincial-support/restrictions for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
